It is a compulsory document that every individual has to get rather be it for business or travel. The visa has been categorized into different types and are charged differently depending upon the usage and needs. 1. Visit Visa The visit visa allows an individual to visit the UAE and the validity of this visa is 60 days and can be extended up to 90 days. 2. Tourist Visa The tourist visas are offered to tourists who want to get an exposure and explore the UAE. The validity of this visa is 58 days from the date of issue. Benefits of a tourist visa: • You can rent a car (may require an international driving license) • You can buy and own a real property NOTE: You cannot open a bank account, buy a car and sponsor a family. 3. Mission Visa Mission visa is a temporary work visa and is validated for 60 days but can be extended to 90 days by paying a renewal cost of AED 600 (including application fee). 4. Special Mission Visa This type of visa is used for urgent and in special cases and it is validated for 16 days. 5. Transit Visa Transit visa is issued to holders just to pass through a country, and not to stay there. The visa allows the traveler 96 hours to visit freely inside the UAE. The validity of transit visa is 14 days from its date of issue and allows the passenger a single entry. Minimum transit time is 8 hours. Note: This visa allows single entry and cannot be proceed for renewable. 6. Multiple Entry Visa This visa allows freedom for its holder to visit a country multiple time. The multiple entry visa holder can visit UAE multiple times for a duration of 90 days. 7. Employment Visa Employment visa works as an entry permit for working professionals. The minimum age limit to obtain the employment visa is 18 years. 8. Investor Visa The investor visa allows an individual to set up a company in Dubai. It is valid for a duration of 3 years. Benefits of investor visa in UAE • It provides the facility to live and work in the UAE • Investors comes with the flexibility to invest in another UAE company • Expands the scope of investment in the real sector • You are free from the payment of any property or capital gains tax 8. Residence Visa Once the process of company formation in Dubai is completed, an investor can opt for a residence visa. The main principle for obtaining a UAE residence visa is that the passport should be valid for a minimum duration of 6 months.
